Traders started on Friday protests against new politics and taxes levied by the Government. They were gathered in morning time in Tirana, in front of the Prime Ministry building to protest against the new Law on tax procedures that predicts high fines and even prison for the businessmen. At the same time, other protests were held in Korca and Fier.
The representative of civil society, Besian Pesha said that the traders will continue to protest until Government will make a step back on this Law. He said that they should leave the business owners perform their job in peace, and they should not to be afraid that someone might come and take them to prison. "This Law's aim is to bring the bankruptcy of small business activities which has nothing to do with Government," said Pesha.
