Church in Dhermi, Rama Interpellation with Dule: We Did Not Demolish any Church

MP Vangjel Dule appealed Prime Minister Edi Rama in an interpellation for the demolishing of the Dhermi church, saying that he never would believe that a country with religious harmony like Albania could see something like this happening.
"How can our country have a religious object demolished. I didn't believe this would happen. I want to know the legal base for the demolition of the church," declared Dule.
The Prime Minister Rama answering to his question about the church, underlined that the interpellation is wrong, since this matter is not his competence. However, Rama answered by saying that the building for which he and some others had complained that much, was not the martyr church of Saint Thanas, and had never been a church.
"Church canons say that not every cult object deserves to be called a church. That building has never been built according to the rules of the Church Authority. Most of the residents agreed to demolish it. The interpellation is invalid," said the Prime Minister.
