CEZ Scandal, Harsh Debates in Parliament

CEZ scandal was the “hot topic” of the Parliamentary Session debate on Thursday. Democratic Party accused the majority for prohibiting the inclusion of the draft project on the investigation of CEZ case, in the agenda of today’s plenary session. The Head of DP’s Parliamentary group, Edi Paloka, said that the Prime Minister Edi Rama has only accused the justice system until now, but in the now he trusts it.

"We are ready to face the investigation. Let's start the investigation proceedings with the former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, Ridvan Bode and everyone who’s involved in this affair, but you should be aware that the Prime Minister, Edi Rama is the one who will be condemned," said Paloka.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri said that the opposition and the Supreme State Audit (SSA) are only throwing mud against the majority. "The report of the SSA has cancelled all concrete figures issued by the audit. This is just a political battle to hit one of the most successful reforms of this government," said Gjiknuri.
