American Embassy will not be involved in the investigation of "CEZ" case. The reaction comes after the request made public by the Speaker of Parliament, Ilir Meta the previous day. The spokesperson of the Embassy, Ryan J. Roberts said that Albanian police and prosecutors are the only responsible to perform investigations on this case.
"The United States will continue to support Albania's law enforcement and the institutional efforts to increase the capacity and effectiveness through OPDAT office. The Embassy offers expert advice, promoting the reform against the corruption of the prosecution," said the spokesperson of the US Embassy to Albania.
