Totozani, Letter to Juncker about Emigration Crisis

The Ombudsman, Igli Totozani blamed for this situation the crime networks and human trafficking, seeing the critical situation of the emigrant crises and the high number of Albanian asylum seekers to Germany. In a letter sent to the President of European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, in the name of the  Mediterranean Ombudsmen' Association, Totozani expressed his readiness to give a helping hand to this crisis of humanity.

“The president of the Association of Mediterranean Ombudsmen (AMO), supported by all members of AMO's expresses strong support in the commitment of the institutions and agencies of the EU, to mobilize the necessary political will and the resources to address the issue of mixed migration flows,” wrote Totozani. He said that the effective implementation of the European Agenda for Migration, adopted by the European Commission is vital, both in terms of immediate actions to save lives and protect the rights of refugees and asylum-seekers.
