State Police - OSHEE, Joint Control of Electricity Theft Cases, 11 Arrested

State Police and the Albanian Operator of Electricity Distribution (OSHEE) continued this week the control all over the country. Their aim was to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators of electricity theft and disconnect all illegal connections. 

According to the information, during this week 90 joint control groups committed in this action, have carried out some 4869 ground-work inspections to businesses and families. As a result of these actions were reported irregularities of 43 electricity theft cases which corresponds to the number of perpetrators involved in the said cases. Police informed that they 11 people were caught red-handed and then arrested. Meanwhile, more than 16 persons have been declared wanted.
