The Prime Minister, Edi Rama made a clear and a harsh statement on Saturday during the conference on “Protection of Property" stating that plundered state and private immovable properties will not be made legal. According to Rama, the reform on this sector is considered a big initiative to hit those that are involved in frauds and illegal acts. “You might escape from the criminal penalties for robbing state and private properties, but you will not achieve your final goal because the robbed land property will not be made legal by the state. It is a criminal offence punishable by law because the property has been wrongfully taken away from it lawful owner. For this reason the signed today agreement is of fundamental importance to finalise a decision which is not such an easy task at all, which will shed light on all crime offences of plundered properties and will urge the return of the property to the state or to its lawful owner," said Rama.
