The initiative taken by Tirana’s Mayor, Erion Veliaj seemed to be effective. A few days ago he launched the initiative addressed to all the citizens and businesses who had possibility to “adopt” a nursery in order to give financial support to help create functional buildings. 

Some 31 citizens and companies replied to this appeal who gave their contribution to turn nurseries operational and be ready in September. All nurseries will be functional for the new season within next week.This project was realised with the financial contribution offered by the businesses and citizens after they heard the initiative of the Mayor. Veliaj on Sunday joined a group of volunteers who were assisting in the works acceleration of the nursery’s buildings.  

"I am grateful to everyone that helped in the works progress to offer better conditions to childrens' premises. I want to make an appeal to all the parents and to all of those volunteers that want to help improve in someway the nurseries of Tirana, to come and lend a helping hand in order to improve the conditions and turn the nurseries operational. You might also donate toys or flowers to the children,” said the Mayor of Tirana, Veliaj.
