Friendly Soccer Match between EU and Balkans, Commissioner Hahn as a Referee

One week before the Western Balkans Summit in Vienna, new facts come to light. A friendly soccer match will be played before the start of the Summit, between the EU team on one side and on the other the Balkans team called the “EU Future.”

The Balkan team will have as players the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksander Vucic and other ministers from the Balkans region. On the other side in the “EU” team will play the ministers and Prime Ministers of EU countries.

The match will be monitored from the ‘referee’ Johanes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy.
