Interest Rate Unchanged, Bank of Albania: Gradual Revival of Economy

The Bank of Albania (BoA) predicts a higher economic growth than one year ago, assessing that the fluctuations in the market are temporary. The Governor of BoA, Genti Sejko, declared for the media that the Supervisory Council decided to keep the same interest rate at 2%. According to the Governor, the reduction of bad loans is a positive indicator that will help reviving this sector. The Bank of Albania expects to have a gradual revival of the economy in the months to come, while the situation in Greece is still under observation. Sejko said that Albania needs more structural reforms in economy.
