New Municipal Council of Tirana Holds the First Meeting After the Elections

The new Municipal Council of Tirana held on Thursday morning the first meeting after the June 21 local elections, from where it was chosen the new mayor, Erion Veliaj. The meeting was hosted by the oldest member, Njazi Kosovrasti, who said that every member of this council is important and should work for the citizens of Tirana. In accordance to the legal tradition all the councilors were sworn. After the new territorial map, the new municipal council of Tirana has more members from 55 to 61.

After this procedure the new Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, will start the work.
