As the Chinese Defense Attaché in Albania, he expressed the confidence that together with Albanian colleagues, the two countries will continue forward on the right path to ensure further development of relations between two militaries

TIRANA – On the occasion of 88th anniversary of the foundation of Chinese People’s Liberation Army, the Defense Attaché of the Chinese Embassy Senior Colonel Luo Tiefeng hosted a reception on Tuesday at the premises of Chinese Embassy.

Present at the reception to mark this special day were state officials, members of Parliament, the Chinese Ambassador to Tirana, Jiang Yu, colonels, media representatives, etc.

In his opening remarks, the Defense Attaché stated that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has been playing an important role in the modern history of China, especially during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression. He said that PLA has become a more prominent participant in pursuit of world peace and international security.

“China has achieved this status through strengthening of foreign military relations, participating in UN peacekeeping operations, carrying out escort missions in the Gulf of Aden and conducting international search and rescue missions. It is a known fact that China currently contributes the largest number of peacekeeping forces among the five permanent members of the UN Security Council,” Attaché declared.

Further, he said that at the same time, the PLA is actively fostering the exchanges and cooperation with armed forces of the other countries while he expressed the commitment to further enhance relations with Albania.

 “Now China has established military relationship with more than 150 countries. But, I would also like to point out that, in recent years, the Chinese-Albanian relations are developing rapidly, like our Ambassador Yu has declared. China is the third largest trade partner while more and more Chinese companies are coming here. Even Chinese-Albanian military relations are developing steadily well,” Mr. Tiefeng further stated.
