A group of representatives of the Forum for Protection of Cultural Heritage, held a meeting this Wednesday with the European Union Delegation (EU) Ambassador in Tirana, Romana Vlahutin and Mario Mariani, the Head of the Cooperation Department, to discuss regarding the National Theater's demolition.
Gjergj Bojaxhi and Afrim Krasniqi expressed the stand of the Forum for the preservation of the National Theater's historic building and sought further engagement of the European Union to ensure transparency on legal actions in this regard.
Vlahutin thanked the Forum for its contribution to this issue as well as for the protection of heritage in general. During the meeting it was assured that the issue of National Theater, with regard to the legal procedures followed in respecting the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union, is being followed with attention by Brussels.
