Expecting the decision of the Albanian President, Ilir Meta on the new law for the National Theater, a group of artists urge to him to not decree it.
Through an official letter addressed to the President on Monday, artists asked to him to requires to reinspect the new law.
They underlined that Constitutional Court is not functional actually due to the discharge of the members by the vetting process. So the only one who can make possible the reexamination of the law is the President.
"The President has the only responsibility for the moment for this law. He should make the final decision. There are no any other institution to complain against this law. Constitutional Court is out of function and President is the last filter. Please the law must be reexamine," artists say.
