Croatian President Visits the Ancient City of Kruja

Croatia's President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, on the third day of her visit to Albania by the invitation of President Meta, decided on Friday to visit the ancient town of Kruja, the famous castle and the old town bazaar.
During this state visit that coincides with the Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg's Nationwide Year, President Grabar-Kitarovic noted the early historical ties and friendship between the two countries and peoples, highlighting in particular the very significant fact that the National Hero Gjergj Kastrioti and his son , Gjoni, were proclaimed "Honorary Citizens" of the early Republic of Ragusa which is today's Dubrovnik.
She was acquainted more closely with the history of the capital of the national hero, with the customs, traditions and artistic works of the area's inhabitants.
