The Head of Operations in Albania of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (ERBD), Mateo Colangeli, declared on Wednesday that ERBD will continue to invest in Albanian infrastructure.
He stated that ERBD will try to narrow the gap that exists in Albanian infrastructure, which is very important for transport, energy, municipalities and environment, according to him.
"We are trying to obtain a loan of USD 50 million to rehabilitate regional and local roads.
Another priority of ours is to increase support even for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
These comprise some of the Albanian challenges for EU integration and ERBD plays a crucial role in accomplishing these challenges," said Colangeli.
He further added that ERBD is significantly increasing the activity of investments in Albania for 2018.
According to him, the most important project is the financing of Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), from which half of the investment will be given for its construction in Albania.
