Minister of Environment, Blendi Klosi has suspended and fined on Tuesday, nine companies who used and abused the quarries in Skrapar.
According to Him, there were major abuses in excavations but also in changing the coordinates given permits. Of the 25 firms operating for years in Novaj, nine of them already are not able to operate in this area. They are: "Led-Bjon", "Xhuljano 08", "Emiliano", "KLERAJDI", "Qato-01", "ALION", "Igli 07", "Pietra" and "GERI".
The two most serious violations were the change of coordinates excavation permit from the ground and the lack of enforcement of legal liability for the rehabilitation of the excavated area.
