Statoil Will Leave TAP: Ready to Sell the 20% of Its Shares

Norwegian company Statoil will sell its share of 20% in TAP pipeline project, which will deliver gas from Azerbaijan to Europe. The news was made public by the President of the firm SOCAR.

"Statoil has decided to leave completely the TAP project and there is a company that it is ready to buy it," said Rovnag Abdullayev to Azeri ANS television. According to him, several companies have expressed their interest to buy shares of Statoil and he underlined that it "will be better that some companies were to buy it".
