Democratic Party (DP) has continued on Friday by accusing the Prime Minister Edi Rama of having great profits from the National Theater project.
According to this party's MP, Albana Vokshi, Rama earns at least EUR 205 million from his mafia project for the construction of 6 towers in the Theater area.
"As Prime Minister, Edi Rama, deceived the artists he had promised before coming into power, for the complete reconstruction of the National Theater. With the election of Erion Veliaj at the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Edi Rama decided the final execution of the mafia plan for the demolition of the Theater and the concretization of the Historic Center of Tirana. According to expert calculations, the minimum profit for one tower is EUR 34.2 million. The planned profit from Edi Rama through the mafia scheme of robbing public property by collapsing the Theater to build 6 towers is at least EUR 205 million. Our transparency for this mafia act will persist, despite the tendency of the main media in the country to censor the opposition," said Vokshi.
She added that the Democratic Party and the people who want to preserve cultural values as part of the European identity, who want Tirana and who do not accept the looting and the mafia-rule, will not allow the triumph of evil.
