National Food Authority (NFA) declared on Friday that it has blocked nearly a ton of meat ( 860 kg of calf and cow meat) in Pogradec during the evening of July, 12.
NFA declared that the meat was blocked due to poor hygenic conditions inside an illegal activity, meanwhile it added that the business didn't have any documents on veterinary checks for the food's security.
The owner of the slughterhouse was Iljaz Mancellari, who was caught in flagrance by carrying out illegal slaughters.
NFA placed an ALL 500.000 fine on the owner and immediately suspended the activity.
