International Monitoring Operation (ONM) representative for the vetting law, Theo Jacobs, declared on Tuesday that he was disappointed in Prosecutor General, Arta Marku's absence at her Independent Qualification Committee (IQC) hearing.
Jacobs expressed his regret and didn't refrain from criticism declaring that she must improve the image of Albanian Prosecution.
"I consider Marku's absence at IQC as lack of leadership. Arta Marku mustn't only giver orders but she also needs to take further measures to improve Prosecution's image," said Jacobs.
Meanwhile he has sought Marku to give explanations on why she requested imprisonment for the citizen with initials A.B, who accuses the Prosecutor for not giving reasons why he was held in jail for two months under the charge "Driving under alcohol's influence".
The Foreign representative has described the measure as an extreme one.
