New Ferry Line Bari-Durres, Rama: A New Chapter in Sea Transport

The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, participated on Friday in the inauguration of the new ferry line Durres-Bari in the Port of Durres. This line will be functional from July 31 and it is expected to affect the travel prices as well.

"This is not about the arrival of a new ship, but this is a new chapter that was much asked with hardship in the first period of our government, because we have been aware that the passengers who wanted to use the sea routes to go and to come to Europe via Italy could not have been provided the level, standards and service that have been reduced over the years and that have been imposed as the only option," said Rama.

The Prime Minister expressed his displeasure about the situation on the sea transport, adding that within a time-frame of one year there is also a successful story even in this sector.
