Foreign Tourists Increase in Durresi Archaeological Museum

According to the Regional Directorate Culture, only in the first 6 months of the year it was visited by 5386 domestic and foreign persons, increasing by almost 40% compared to last year.
Foreign visitors have come from different countries such as USA, Germany, England, Poland, Sweden, France, Italy, even China.
The old archaeological museum in Durres was opened on March 13, 1951, while the new museum building was opened in 2002 and today has a visiting pavilion, where archeological artifacts of prehistory, archaic and antiquity are presented. In the first floor of the building are exposed some 2100 objects belonging to the period before the founding of the city up to the A.D 4th century .
