The Foreign Minister of Greece, Niko Kotzias, was expressed optimistic on Tuesday by saying that for Albania and Macedonia, will be given the green light for the opening of accession negotiations.
According to him, it is being discussed that negotiations will take place in mid-2019.
"There are two groups of countries. The one that is the largest, which includes 25 countries that support the opening of accession negotiations at the 2019 summit and 3 countries, Denmark, the Netherlands and France, who say they must see the process, stability and security of the entire region in Southeast Europe. I know that some countries are afraid of populism, but we cannot fight it with the steps behind. Our experience shows that we can do both processes at the same time and it is better for Europe," said Kotzias.
He added that if only one of the countries get to open the accession negotiations, will be a negative thing for the region's power.
