EU-Commissioner for European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, appealed on Tuesday that EU opens accession talks for Albania and even Macedonia.
He stated that the region of Western Balkans needs a positive signal from EU.
Hahn made this appeal on the verge of European Commission's decision for Albania that is to be taken on June, 28-29.
"We are all aware that how important is the giving of a positive signal in the region. We have come so far and all the positive results are made looking at the European perspective. If their efforts are not rewarded this would have an immediate impact in the region's stability," Hahn said.
