The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, in the framework of the official visit to Hungary, was received on Thursday at a special meeting by the Hungarian Parliament Speaker, Laszlo Kover.
The Head of the State expressed special gratitude for the support that the Hungarian people and their leaders have given Albanians to the key moments in history. He also praised the attention that Hungary and the Hungarian Parliament gives on relations with Albania, and expressed gratitude for the strong and clear support they give to the process of Albanian European integration.
In the other hand, Speaker Kover welcomed the progress made by Albania in this regard and assured Presidential Meta that the Hungarian Parliament will continue to support Albania without any reservations in its European aspiration.
The interlocutors praised the role the two Parliaments and in particular, that of the Parliamentary friendship groups, which can play a very important role in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and enhancing exchanges in various areas of mutual interest.
