EC Survey: Albanians Among the Lonliest in Europe

According to the survey on 'Quality of Life' conducted by the Europen Commission (EC) for Balkan countries and candidate states, about 12% of Albanians and 16% of Turks have admitted they feel lonely. These statistics are the highest in Europe according to EC survey.
In all EU this indicator is 6%. For every European that feels alone, there are two Albanians that have admitted they feel lonely all the time.
Regarding gender issues, in Albania women have said that they feel lonlier when compared to men. The women percentage was 12% while that of men was 11%.
The report enhanced that solitude is more prominent to the elderly, and that this is understandable because they are somehow disconnected to work, children etc.
