Democrats believe that the German MPs will not approve the opening of Accession Talks with Albania. The democrat leader, Lulzim Basha said on Thursday that he was recently in a visit in Berlin where he had different meetings with the skeptic MPs and it unimaginable that Bundestag recommends the opening of accession talks.
"I have been in invited in Berlin by the highest German Authorities to discuss their concern that the political situation in the country, has not improved at all. The same scheme that was followed to release the former Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, is being followed to save even the Xhafaj brothers", said Basha.
The Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj, is being accused of having drug connections due to his brother's, Agron Xhafaj, links with drug trafficking.
"Under these conditions it is unimaginable that Bundestag recommend the opening of negotiations", Basha added.
According to him all these events make it impossible for the German lawmakers to recommend the opening of negotiations.
