Tirana Municipality will soon have a special low for the city's organization. Tirana Mayor, Erion Veliaj declared on Monday during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, that the capital will be based on the law of Kosovo on this issue.
The new project will serve more to Tirana's citizens for employment, education, hospitals, mortgages, schools etc.
Veliaj underlined that the law will give more competences and finances to the Municipality.
During the meeting, Veliaj and Haradinaj discuses the growth of cooperation between the two countries and also the integration challenges that both Kosovo and Albania are facing.
"Is a good opportunity to see the changes that have happened in Tirana, and even a better opportunity to listen on how these changes have happened. When we come to Tirana we brag when we see new achievements and compare them to other foreign capitals", said Haradinaj.
While Veliaj enhanced that the municipalities of both countries have so much to learn from one another's experience and to improve the quality of the citizen's life.
"We share common challenges; the prime challenge is that of improving the cities quality to bring them to a European standard," said Veliaj.
