Albanian President, Ilir Meta has received in the Presidency garden children and representatives of the civil society on the occasion of the International Children's Day.
They handed the president a petition named 'Accountability to the Children'. The president said that he will read the petition carefully.
"The latest report of 'Save the Children' which ranked Albania last in the region regarding the protection of the children is a bell of alarm to all, state institutions, civil society in our contry, the media and the albanian families. All together should recognise problems, not avoid them and by showing responsibility should engage to put them in the right path of a long and stable improvement," Meta said.
At the end of this meeting the civil society led a march for the chilren's rights.
