The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, received on Friday in a meeting the Chairman of the Albanian Democratic Party of Macedonia, Menduh Thaci.
The main topic of discussions was the importance of the European integration of both countries and the region. The positive approach of the Macedonian Government for the comprehensive reforms and the important contribution of the Albanian political factor to these vital processes were also appreciated by the President.
The Head of the State underlined the tremendous importance of resolving the name issue in order to receive an invitation for Macedonia to join NATO, by highlighting the need for active engagement and involvement of the Albanian Democratic Party and all Albanian political factors in the neighbor country for this process.
