'Wave' of Foreign Officials' Visits to Tirana

MPs of the German Bundestag, as well as representatives of the US State Department and OSCE leaders are expected to hold official visits this week to Tirana.
CSU MP Florian Hahn, also spokesperson CSU's spokesman for foreign and security policy, will reportedly hold meetings on Thursday with Prime Minister Edi Rama, Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, opposition leader Lulzim Basha and SMI chairwoman Monika Kryemadhi.
Hahn's visit to Tirana was planned in early May, but the German MP postponed his visit due to the flight cancellation.
US Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations Pete Marocco will travel to Albania, to participate in the 15th Southeast European Meeting in Tirana on May 26, and will meet with Western Balkans leaders on regional security and countering violent extremism. The conference is organized by a group of left- and right-wing Albanian parliamentarians, where government representatives will also attend.
A delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will hold a two-day visit to Tirana starting on Saturday, and will reportedly meet with leaders of Albanian institutions and opposition leaders Lulzim Basha and Monika Kryemadhi.
Meanwhile, OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger will travel to Albania on May 29 to meet with the highest state and opposition leaders to convey the message of cooperation between the OSCE and the Albanian institutions.
