The Illyrian Tombs of Selca in Mokra, 40 km out of Pogradeci, dating between IV-III centuries BC will undergo restoration.
Ministry of Culture made known that the project has ended and its implementation is expected to start soon. The interference in these tombs is necessary taking into consideration their damage, natural degradation and lack of restoration processes for decades. Restoration aims at promoting the cultural values and increasing the tourist potential of the region. Illyrian Tombs of Selca are expected to be part of a special document, aiming to be promoted a special site protected by UNESCO.
