The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) has reacted on Friday over the Interior Minister Xhafaj's brother's involvement with drug trafficking.
The head of this party's parliamentary group, Petrit Vasili, said that Xhafaj changed the Penal Code in order to help his brother and block his extradition to Italy.
"By amending the Penal Code and practically the Article 491, Xhafaj gave an alibi to all criminals and traffickers to escape punishment. SMI clearly suggests that the best and most immediate attitude would be abduction and negotiations for voting new amendments," Vasili said.
He added that SMI is ready to contribute with all its political and parliamentary force to this process of deep and complete transparency, to purge Albania from crime corruption and drug trafficking or the criminalization of Albanian life.
