
Two Czech tourists were robbed and killed, while they were traveling in their car on the late hours of Friday in Dukagjin, on the northern Albania. Initially it was talked for an accident, but police and prosecution sources of Shkodra confirmed the names of two killed victims as Michael Svatos, 27 years and his wife Anna Kosinova 36 years. They were assaulted traveling in their car hundred meters away from the camp where they were accommodated in the mountainous zone of Dukagjin.
The authors of the incident approached the vehicle to get the items from the victims, leaving their fingerprints on the passenger’s window. The police found inside of the car an AK-47 assault rifle which was used by the authors.
Dozens of police forces arrived at the scene, but the mountainous terrain and the lack of phone networks resulted in a difficult pursuing of the killers.
