Democratic Party declares its fully support over the decision of US, UK and France to launch air strikes in Syria in an early morning operation targeting alleged chemical weapons sites.
The strikes were in response to a suspected chemical attack on the Syrian town of Douma last week.
"DP supports the US, UK and French military strikes on chemical weapons of the criminal regime in Syria. The use of these chemical weapons reconfirmed that the Assad regime is able to take inhuman actions against the vulnerable population if it does not face the worst consequences. The Democratic Party considers the military intervention of our allies as fully legitimate and expresses the full support for President Trump, Prime Minister May and President Macron on the acts taken to punish the monstrous crimes to protect the Syrian population from attacks by chemical weapons and in the quest for security and peace in the region and beyond,", says the announcement of the largest opposition party in the country.
