The Court of Vlora imposed sentences of the five arrested officials on Tuesday, accused of alienating 220 hectares of land obtained with fake documents in Karaburun.
The officials are:
Mortgage lawyer, Blerina Dhrami, 6 years;
Rajmond Mezi, 18 years;
Lefter Gjergji, 16 years; and
Donika Besimaj, 3 years.
"Karaburun's File" has been classified as one of the scandals of the century, as a lot of officials and businessmen who have alienated hundreds of hectares of land, have been involved in the plot of one of the Ionian coast pearls.
