Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama presented on Monday evening the project for a new national theatre which has been prepared by a famous international studio and is part of an initiative for Public - Private Partnership.
During the presentation Rama underlined that the private company will not make all the work for charity, but will have a space to build near the theater.
This photo shows that the project of the new theater has also a building in a form of a trade center.
The current National Theater of Albania is situated at the heart of Tirana city center and covers thousands of square meters of public land.
The two-storey buildings were designed and constructed by Giuglio Berte, an Italian architect, during the Second World War, and it has served as the national theater since 1947.The government and the municipality of Tirana claim the buildings are degraded, are of poor quality and cannot be properly maintained.
