Following the Foreign Ministry's letters sent to the Presidency and several requests for additional information on the part of the latter about the maritime agreement with Greece, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati, in an interview for Vizion Plus, expressed willingness to make available any information to the head of state.

"Any request for information coming from the President of the Republic, not only on this issue, but on every issue that is within the Foreign Ministry's competence will of course receive an exhaustive response from the Ministry," said Bushati, emphasizing the necessity of law enforcement on this matter. Asked about President Meta's "resistance", Bushati said the President is in the right to ask for information, to raise questions about the all the issues related to this process, and that it's the Ministry's responsibility to respond with information and expertise. "Given all the conversations we've had, I think the President of the Republic is as interested as we are, to carry on with this issue," Foreign Minister said.

Regarding the Albanian-Greek negotiations, Bushati emphasized that the Government and the President are on the same team. "It is not that the government is negotiating with the President of the Republic, because in this process the Albanian side is negotiating with the Greek one. As for the Albanian state, starting from the President of the Republic to the lowest official in this rank, we are all on the same team," Minister Bushati stated.
