"The EU Delegation has followed the preparations for and the holding of the local elections on 21 June 2015 very closely and would like to congratulate the citizens of Albania for their participation and determination to exercise their democratic right to vote. In line with the preliminary findings and observations by OSCE/ODIHR issued today, pointing to a number of challenges, the EU Delegation encourages the competent authorities to ensure proper follow-up to the recommendations of the ODIHR Election Observation Mission.
