An anti-narcotics raid conducted by Greek police on Thursday led to the seizure of some 424 Kg of Cannabis Sativa and the arrest of an Albanian citizen. The narcotics quantity was being smuggled to Greece with a speedboat through Igumenica.

The 42-years old Albanian, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was arrested in flagrance while unloading some 36 packages of marijuana in Platarias, part of Igumenica.

Greek police reported that the anti-narcotics raid was conducted in coordination with the Albanian authorities who signaled the presence of the speedboat in Greek waters.
