The �Food Law� amendments were the highlight of a meeting between Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ermira Gje�i and groups of interests� representatives on Tuesday.
She introduced the interlocutors with the law�s main amendments which consist in the improvement of some unclear dispositions that generated problems during law�s implementation.
�The suggested amendments are related to the element of risk, assessment, management and communication. We are also considering some changes in the veterinary law that would enable to the National Food Authority (NFA) to start the inspection since the farm guaranteeing a much high food safety for the consumers,� declared Gje�i.
She also underlined that a more vigorous control of the meat and poultry products imported in Albania will be guaranteed thanks to the suggested amendments in the law.
