The wave of cold weather that engulfed Albania during the weekend has generated numerous problems for vehicles circulation in the northern and south-eastern axes. The latest data released on Monday by the Civil Emergencies indicate that situation remains problematic in many national axes despite the prompt intervention of snow ploughs.

The situation in the main districts is as it follows:

Qafe Priske - Shengjergj axis, Qafe Priske - Qafe Molle axis, part of Tirana district are passable only by the vehicles equipped with snow chains. The drivers are urged to move with extreme caution and observe the speed limits, especially in these segments were there�s ice presence on the road.
Every axis of Durresi district is currently passable without snow chains but the drivers are urged to move with caution and with limited speed.
The use of chains in recommended in Librazhd � Stebleve � Qafe Stude, part of Elbasan district, due to a thick layer of snow on the road. Krraba Tunel - Gracen axis is also passable only with snow chains due to the presence of ice.
Llogara national axis, part of Vlora district, is currently passable without snow chains despite the heavy snowfalls that continues incessantly. The circulation is being closely monitored by the Road Police patrol in order to prevent any possible accident.
A landslide was registered in a segment of Tepelena-Gjirokastra national axis thus the vehicles passage is currently limited.
The use of snow chains is necessary in majority of axes in the south-eastern district of Kor�a. Snow ploughs are already at work while huge quantities of salt are being spread in the street to prevent vehicles sliding due to the ice.
Nation�s Road is passable without snow chains but the Road Police urges drivers to move with caution and observe the speed limits.
