The Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj calls for zero tolerance on crime. In his address during Shkodra police directory annual analysis on Saturday he asked for a major focus on the criminal gangs operating in this city.

�There are 4 or 5 criminal groups that should be hit without further delay. The police should not deal only with a citizen that may build the house�s roof without a proper permission but with the crime�s bosses that move freely in the street. They should be the first to feel the force of the law.

Anyone who dares to use my name should be the first to be handcuffed,� declared Xhafaj, adding that police work should be characterized by integrity.

Referring to the vetting within police ranks he declared that this process aims to give a new image to the State Police.
