Albania remains a strong supporter of the anti-terrorist efforts during 2014. In a report the American Department of State (ADS) underlined that during this year Albania became part of the global coalition against the Islamic State group. According to ADS, Albania has donated a large quantity of weapons and ammunition to the Peshmerga fighters in the northern of Iraq.
However, in the report it is also said that Albania is a source of terrorist foreign fighters that go to Syria and Iraq.
The report said also that the authorities in Albania are working actively to detect and deter illegal activities related to drugs and trafficking.
