State Police in collaboration with Italian one successfully finalized on Thursday an international operation coded "Nadir", arresting 12 persons where among them 7 were Albanian citizens. During the operation they seized 4kg of pure cocaine, 1kg Cannabis and EUR 36,000.
Joint Investigation between Albanian State Police and the Italian one, including Carabineer colleagues in Rome has allowed the Italian state to issue arrest warrants against 11 persons, eight of them in prison and three in house arrests. In the early hours of today's morning it was possible the arresting at the same time in Italy of 6 Albanian citizens, 1 Italian and 1 Romanian resident in Italy and of a citizen in Albania called Mario �, 38 years old.
The criminal group was comprised of Albanians and Italians engaged in the trafficking of narcotic drugs of the cocaine type imported from Spain and the Netherlands to trade in the main squares of the Lazio and Puglia areas.
The two police organizations are working intensively to capture the other elements involved in smuggling and because of the investigations secrecy they do not disclose any other information.
