Some 5 Albanians were arrested by the Greek police near Igumenica during an anti-narcotics raid. The arrested individuals had illegally entered the Greek territory on Sunday by walking through the mountains in an attempt to smuggle some 96 Kg of cannabis.

The narcotics quantity, which was seized by the Greek police in quality of material proof, had been placed in 4 large bags.

The identities of those arrested by the Greek police have not yet been made public. Meantime the inquiry aimed to define the origin and destination of the narcotics quantity is still ongoing.
