The Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj held a meeting with Chief Prosecutor Arta Marku on Friday.

Strengthening of institutional collaboration for the war on crime was the highlight of this closed doors meeting.

A cooperation memorandum for a quick, specialized and multilateral investigation of criminal groups is also expected to be signed between the General Prosecution and Interior Ministry.

The memorandum signature follows the implementation of �Power of law� operation, a national scale police raid aimed to give a harsh blow to the criminal groups in Albania.
