Both sides of Tirana - Durres highway will soon present a new image to the drivers. As forewarned the municipality of Tirana started one day ago the eradication of palm trees and their replacement with pines.

The decision to replace the palm trees, which planted not more than three years ago by initiative of Prime Minister Edi Rama, was taken during a meeting of municipal council by the end of 2017. The low temperatures which destroyed most of these decorative trees were at the origin of this decision.

The opposition�s representatives objected the palm trees replacement with pines labeling this process as another corruptive affair of PM Rama and Tirana mayor, Erion Veliaj.
