The provisional chief prosecutor Arta Marku signed on Wednesday a change in the General Prosecution structure.

Albaniannews.com learned that the new structure of General Prosecution will be composed by 4 directories. The Judicial Directory, the Inspection Directory, the Decriminalization Directory and the Witness Protection Directory will from now on compose this institution�s structure.

Meantime the Investigation Directory will be abolished, in accordance to the new law for prosecutors that foresees prosecutors� independence during their inquiries. Their decision-making may then be assessed by the court.
